What does Kitty say to you?

I think elegant, 1920s period drama, strong but feminine.

DH says Bunny a la Katie Price.

I am desperate to use it, but I've got some persuading to do. And he's made me wonder if I've got it completely wrong... Have I? What does it make you think?

I think the use it as a nickname with Katherine as the full name is a really good one.

I really like it, it makes me think of a whimsical character from a book written 60 odd years ago. I ve met two Kittys, both Irish. One was called Katherine, the other Catriona.

I'm not a huge fan either. To me kitty is s burlesque dancer. Very cool but I'm not sure that's what you necessarily want your daughter to be!

If you love it and can convince your husband that's all that matters.

Nickname to me. The kind of thing a little girl will be called by her parents and then either grow into or drop it and take another variation from their given name (Catherine, Kathleen etc)

Good compromise?

I hadn't got it down as such a 'marmite' name, but clearly it is.

I had to great Aunt Kitty. She was a wicked woman and not in the wicked cool way, like actually wicked.

And smelt of imperial leather.
