If I had to pick a new name to be known as till the end of time I wouldn't pick Beth. But if I'd been called Beth since birth I wouldn't have any issue with the name.

I really liked the name Beth and Bethan, (not Bethany for some reason) but it's the OW's, exH's now wife's name so as put me off somewhat! Grin Very glad I had 3 DSs and no DD to call Beth, now.

Yes, I like it, I would be friendly and well liked and grounded as a Beth! That's how I see the name anyway!

Not keen on Elizabeth though.

My sister is often known as Beth. Her middle name is Elizabeth.

I also like Bethan, which is Welsh, and pronounced, I understand like Beth-Anne, rather than Beth'n.

My mum is beth so I am fond of it. I have known omelette of Beths as well.

I see it as being a pretty tough name as in not drippy

The adult Beth I know is far from drippy and ineffectual - the opposite in fact. So I think of it as a nice strong name!

No, though Elizabeth is very nice.

I don't think Beth is as pretty as the full name Elizabeth, and not keen on Betty either.
