Opinions please. I like it a lot. Dh is swaying towards it. (5 months left and don't know gender. Probably Alexander if a boy).

Butterfly my DD is called Jenna Smile

The only Gemma's I know are in their 30's so agree it probably is a bit 80's.
Saying that, it's nice enough, not unusual but not too popular easy to say & spell, and inoffensive so if you like it go for it!

And this is probably unhelpful but I much prefer Jenna!

sweetpeame · 16/05/2015 19:13

It's definitely a very 80's name but not a bad one, just sounds a little bit dated.

I love it but I also love Sarah so maybe I just like 80s names. :)

maroonedwithfour · 16/05/2015 19:03

Love it. I have a lovely friend called Gemma.

NightsOfGethsemane · 16/05/2015 19:03

It's inoffensive but like the previous poster said, I'd put it together with Claire and Sarah as a 80s name. All the Gemma's I know are 35ish.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 16/05/2015 19:00

It's very 80's but nice enough.
