Valerie!

Had a dream last night that we called impending DC Valley, short for Valerie! I weirdly love Valley but in reality, Valerie is in the same league as Pat/Pam/Sue/Bev, isn't it?? Not due a comeback IMO!

Although those names will probably be all the rage when our kids are having our grandchildren Grin

I prefer our consciously-chosen girls name over this dreamy one, so don't think we'll be having a little Val, but just thought that was funny.

Anyone know any little Valeries? Or Pats for that matter.

I know a 6 year old Valerie, it really suits her. I quite like it.

Very pretty name, and the fact that there are numerous ladies in their 60s and 70s named Valerie does not change that.

I think it's lovely, and more along the lines of Sylvie or Margot than Pam. Not a "brave choice" kind of name, just a nice and slightly unusual one.

Wow a baby Valerie! That is cool. Yes it does seem sweet. DH says he likes Valerie, he is braver than me though I think!

I am a 71 year old Valerie and know one (unrelated) baby with the name. It seems oddly sweet and quite unusual now though it was common in my time. I also know a Betsy and a Sylvie both under 5.
