Unusual girls' names - opinions please.

We don't know if we're have a girl or boy, but we do like unusual names. What are your opinions / favourites from this list?
Lorena
Mercy
Inez
Aurora
Tabitha
Honeysuckle
Marigold
Some are more odd than others and some id probably only have the guts to use for a middle name. But it would be good to see what you think. Thank you!

Don't be silly with Honeysuckle. Nick name Suckle? Oh dear!

The other names are better, but I'd point out that Tabitha probably isn't very unusual.

Inez and Tabitha are my favourites from your list.

I think with Primrose, Honeysuckle or Marigold would be too much...

Tabitha or Aurora both work with Primrose and are pretty names.

Because every time the OP calls out "Mercy! Mercy!" across the park, people will look round in panic thinking someone's being attacked (another "Jill's Gymkhana" reference for you there....)

My favourite is Marigold its such a beautiful name, it's a shame it's so strongly associated with rubber gloves.

Although if you already have a Primrose i personally wouldn't have another flower name it all becomes a bit themey.

Have you considered Clementine?

Aurora was on my shortlist for one of our DDs. Vetoed by DH.
So obviously I like that one. Tabitha is also a fab name.

Lorena, Honeysuckle and Marigold are all grim. Don't like Inez.

And Mercy sounds as if her siblings should be called Humility, Providence and KillSin, and whose father is a Puritan pastor...

Marguerite is a lovely flower name.

Honey Suckle is not good.

Marigold is a rubber glove, unless you are very posh.

Please do not call your child Honeysuckle. She has to live her whole life out there in the real world.

The rest are fine. Marigold is rubber gloves but it's better than Honeysuckle.

Marigold is awful Honeysuckle is lovely.

Don't really like Lorena, it sounds a bit pharmaceutical/cleaning product-ish.

Mercy is horrible

Aurora is quite nice.

Tabitha is lovely

I really like Inez but I would just pronounce it Inn-ez. I am struggling to even sound out An- Yeyz. Confused I think that everyone, everywhere will just call her Inn-ez so if you are not happy with that then don't pick it - it will drive you bonkers.

I think if it's to go with a Primrose the Honeysuckle would be gorgeous. Second choice would be Tabitha.

Ah, I was going to suggest primrose too!

Inez is lovely but I can't imagine many people would know it is pronounced how you said.

Mercy seems a bit chavvy to me.

Tabitha lovely.

Honeysuckle is a gorgeous name and goes well with primrose but it would be a brave choice!

Aurora will always remind me of the movie theater shooting before the Disney princess, and based on both of those it would be a no from me.
I like Marigold from your list.

Lorena - nice
Mercy - reminds me of Mercy Dulbottle from the Jill's ponies books (niche reference, I know)
Inez - I met a little Inez recently, very nice name
Aurora - pretty and feminine
Tabitha - have always liked this
Honeysuckle - no, because of the Suckle part
Marigold - Like it!

Lorena Bobbitt (still the first association I have with the name). Aurora is a bit Disney Princess. I know quite a few small Tabithas. And Marigold is rubber gloves.

I like Mercy and Inez. Honeysuckle is a bit too much as a first name IMO unless you are Very Posh (like Honeysuckle Weeks).

Lorena - quite nice
Mercy - awful, sounds like a nun's name. In fact it was the name of the school I went to which was run by nuns...
Inez - nice enough, assume you have some Spanish roots
Aurora - I really like this
Tabitha - really dislike although it gets lots of love on mumsnet! Sounds like a cats name
Honeysuckle - dreadful, it's not a name
Marigold - awful, isn't it a brand of rubber glove?

Lorena - lovely, trad Italian, I know lots of grown up Lorenas whose families are Italian
Mercy - like it
Inez - will be a pronunciation problem in the UK
Aurora - sleeping beauty, no thanks, wishy washy
Tabitha - love this
Honeysuckle - porn star
Marigold - quite like

I do like Merry as a nickname for Mercy though.

But you could use that for Marigold instead!

I like them all except Honeysuckle, because it's sickly, and Mercy, because it sounds a bit too pious.

I rather like Marigold, perhaps due to the little girl on Downton Abbey.

Dislike Mercy and Lorena, and Honeysuckle is a step too far I fear.

Inez and Tabitha are nice. Aurora is OK. but a bit Disney

Aurora Marigold sounds lovely!

I also like Lorena and Mercy.

Matilda is OK.

Honeysuckle and Inez not to my taste but would be OK as a middle name?
