This is our shortlist for DD due any day now. DH and I can't agree - which one should we go for?

Everyone will think it was inspired by frozen if you use Anna. I'd go for Imogen, not keen on Ottilie.

Anna, definitely

I know an Ottilie, we shorten it to Otti. Very cute!

Madbengalmum · 05/05/2015 18:26

Ottillie, very pretty, far nicer than other options

Imogen - ours is due in Aug but already has the name thanks to her 4 year old sister who latched onto it from day 1 of a discussion about names. Strong, not too common and suits females at all ages.

Imogen is a fab name.

Anna is definitely on the rise post Frozen- there are suddenly loads of little Annas in the South-East, so I would steer clear of this if you're concerned about popularity of name and there being several in one class.

Imogen is far less common - I only know one other under 6

Ottilie is pretty but a bit of a mouthful I think. Having said that, it could be shortened to Tilly, which is very sweet.

Good luck - exciting times!

I like all of them - they were all on my shortlist apart from anna. I like anna but it's too similar to my own first name.

At a push, Imogen :)

I really love Anna and it would have been a major contender if either DS had been a girl - possibly shortening to Annie although it is a lovely name by itself. Imogen is pretty too. I'm not over keen on Ottilie because it is hard to spell (I never know how many ls!) and feels a bit frilly.

Just my opinion though!
