As in, she will refer to your dd as 'Olivia the second?'

That's weird.

Baby Olivia is a lot more normal.

A nick name I presume Grin I like it in that context. And love Olivia.

Though it's probably just a smidge weird if 'Olivia the Second' [surname] is on the birth cert!

So.... your wife is called Olivia, and she wants to call your daughter Olivia after herself? Is that right?

I've come across a few people (mostly male) with the same first name as their parent, so it's not something I'd consider all that strange. Mostly they go by their middle name or a different nickname of the first name (e.g. both called James, dad goes by Jim, son goes by Jamie)

Calling the child "Olivia the second" instead of Olivia, or a nickname of Olivia, would definitely be weird.

I wasn't planning anymore children but might have another one just so I can call it Nancy the great

'After her Olivia' as in she has a daughter called Olivia already and wants to call the child you are now having together Olivia too?

or 'after her - Olivia' as in your wife's name is Olivia?

The former is not okay! Latter is fine as long as she doesn't literally put 'Olivia the 2nd' on the birth certificate!
