Boy's name Tiger

I'm 28 weeks pregnant with ds3. Ds1 and ds2 both have unusual names. I like Atticus for ds3 but husband isn't so keen. The only name we both like and can agree on so far is Tiger but I'm worried it's a little too out there.

What are people's thoughts?

What about tadgh (pronounced tige)

My brother has a very out there name and he's never lived up to it as he's so soft!

Grin read some funny things on here! I think you are getting confused between animal and mammal.

Leo/Leon is a good suggestion, as is Wolf - Wolfgang,Wolfram, Wulfric. All 'real' names although I'm sure Tiger Woods would argue he has a real name too.

I know a teenager called Tiger, I have known the family for years, it just seems normal to me now.

Imagine Great uncle Tiger or Grandad Tiger- just no! this is a person not a baby you are naming, they will be a big grown up for a long time with a babies nickname

I think that Tiger is just a bit silly. Can you imagine having to give 'Tiger' to receptionists/ Starbucks servers etc? I think it could be a very embarrassing name. OK in celeb circuits maybe when 'out there' is the norm, but in your run of the mill school/job etc I think it could be more of a liability than a blessing. (and I have a very unusual name that I love, so I'm not against unusual names per sey).

lemonyone not much to tell. It was for the BBC 3 prog Tyger Takes On... It would be more accurate to blame the programming style of BBC 3 than him but he was a real pita who pretended to not understand simple facts and was v difficult.

Tiger is an awful name for a baby/boy/man. I honestly think it would be hard for people to take him seriously with a name like that. I don't like Atticus either although it's popular on mumsnet. Have never met one in real life but it's far, far better than Tiger.

And T D-H is actually Tyger not Tiger. Which makes it even worse, imo.
