Initials?

I need some advice about the name we have chosen for DC3. The initials (first name, middle name, surname) will spell out A.R.S. Do you think this is problematic? It's not the way arse is spelt, obviously, but if you vocalize the initials it's what you get. My feeling is that it doesn't really matter, but I'd be interested in what others think. Did anyone else make a decision based on initial letters?

Thanks everyone for your opinions! My feeling was the same as Stormyboots but now I'm not so sure. Will try out some new combinations I suppose - DC3 not due until July, so we have some time left! Thanks again.

Can't see what the problem is as it doesn't actually spell out the word arse. Plus people do not generally sound out initials as a word but as individual letters.
Also when do you actually use initials? Letters for example are addressed miss/mr A R Smith or Anna Rose Smith.
If initials spelt out something like TIT like another poster said, then I would understand as that is a word but A R S is not

I think it's quite fun for a child when their initials spell something they can draw, because they can use a picture as a secret signature or tag. Like in a rebus. But not anything embarrassing!

I'd avoid too. DH and I put a lot of thought into naming our children expecting if their initials spelt anything was checked.

Yes, I think I would avoid ARS. It could be passed off as the Latin for 'art', but it might cause some embarrassment! I regard the likes of EAR, NUT, etc as harmless but would draw the line at ARS, BUM, TIT and the like.

I would definitely take great care with initials and therefore I wouldn't do it.
You don't have to live with it , but they do.
