Love them both. Which do you prefer and why?

Many thanks in advance...

I love Tamsin with a z too

ChickenMe · 26/04/2015 21:23

Love Tamsin-unusual! Retro nickname Tammy.

Tessa/Tess/Tessie getting popular.

Harry1511 · 26/04/2015 20:38

Tessa x

haleandhearty · 26/04/2015 20:29

Thanks for all feedback. Opinions seem pretty much equally divided, which is probably a good sigh- i.e. either would be ok IRL!

Not a massive fan of either (sorry) but I prefer Tamsin

PeppermintCrayon · 26/04/2015 14:00

Tamsin is way nicer

Rhubarbgarden · 26/04/2015 13:38

They both sound a bit dated to me, but Tessa at a push.

Variousrandomthings · 25/04/2015 16:32

Tess.

Tamsin is a bit like Natalie or Mathew. A bit 70's 80's

thegreylady · 25/04/2015 16:28

It souns like 'tosser' to me!

thegreylady · 25/04/2015 16:28

Tamsin is one of my favourite names. I am less keen on Tessa.

swimmerforlife · 25/04/2015 04:46

Tamsin defiantly, gorgeous name.

I know two dogs called Tess.

WhenMarnieWasThere · 25/04/2015 00:16

I'm Tamzin with a z and never shortened. I like it and get compliments about it quite often.

balletnotlacrosse · 24/04/2015 23:57

Tessa reminds me of old children's books circa 1940s/1950s. I think it's very pretty and classical. Also like Tess.

squoosh · 24/04/2015 23:51

I see Tessa as middle-aged rather than vintage. Tessa Jowell and Tessa Sanderson are the first Tessas that spring to mind.

squoosh · 24/04/2015 23:49

Tamsin. Free spirited, barefoot sort.

DramaAlpaca · 24/04/2015 23:43

Yes, I agree - I like Tamzin best with a z.

Galvanized · 24/04/2015 23:28

Tamzin spelt with a z. Never shortened though.

DramaAlpaca · 24/04/2015 23:26

Tamsin

balletnotlacrosse · 24/04/2015 23:24

They're both lovely, but I think Tamsin has the edge. Surprised a PP thinks Tessa is middle aged. I don't know any middle aged people with this name. It's vintage, if anything.

scarletforya · 24/04/2015 21:15

Tessa.

Tamsin sounds dated and nothingy.

timelyreminder · 24/04/2015 21:14

Tamsin

MakeHayRidesAgain · 24/04/2015 21:14

Funnily enough one of my best friends is a Tamsin with a sister Tessa.... I prefer Tamsin myself.

Bowlersarm · 24/04/2015 21:13

Oh yuk I wouldn't. Teresa is horrible.

DakotaFanny · 24/04/2015 21:13

Tessa. i do not like Tamsin. Love Tessa.

Vijac · 24/04/2015 21:12

I like both but I'd use Tessa as a nn for Teresa
