What girls names do you hear all the time?

Just that really. I have a shortlist but would rather not go for anything that's overly popular. So instead of me telling you the names, could you say what names you hear a lot?! Smile

From a teacher's perspective (I teach KS1 in a London suburb):

Loads of -ie and -y names, e.g. Lily/Lilly/Lillie; Tilly/Tillie; Milly/Milly; Molly/Mollie; Lucy/Lucie; Amy/Amie/Aimee. Often these are double-barrelled - so Lily-Rose; Tilly-Mae etc.

Amelia/Emilia/Emily/Amelie

Lots of E names - Ellie/Ella/Elsie/Elise, and more recently Elsa and Eliza. Have also noticed quite a few little Elodies lately.

Ava/Eva/Evie. Edith/Edie getting popular here too.

Isla

Florence

Sophie/Sophia/Sofia

Jessica

Isabella/Isabelle/Isabel/Isobel

Mia/Mya/Maia/Maya

All of these are lovely names, but they do tend to merge together when you come across lots of them (especially all the permutations of -y and -ie names)!

We don't have a Maisie at school but all the others we have in handfuls.

DD is in Y3. When she started in reception there were 21 girls, and all but 6 had names ending in -a. Of those 6, 5 had names ending in -y/ie/i.

I like all of the above names and being popular wouldn't have put me off using them (back in the day when I was choosing baby names)

Evie, Isabella and variants, all the Ellie/Ella ones, Matilda, Millie millie millie millie, and Amelia (usually shortened to the ubiquitous Millie!)

If you'd rather not go for anything popular, DO NOT call her Amelia.

I know loads of little Anna's following Frozen so I wouldn't say that's underused.

Evie, Amelia, Lucy, Ava, Millie, Daisy - can barely move for them around here!

Oh, so many pretty names for girls, popular or not! Around me..... all aged about 4..... Amelia, Ella, Katie, Kate, Ellie, Evie, Tilly. More unusual names.... Nina, Isla (know only one), Lucy, Jessie, Ibby (I think she is Isobel), Leonora (love this name), Harmony.... that is about it.
