Hi, so im nearly 34 weeks and have been through every single girls name known to man and still havent come across one that i adore, i finally found one that grew on me that i do like but i dont know if its too risky as it is a car!! The name im thinking of is Cleo, (even though the car is spelled clio) i wanted thoughts from other parents or parents to be, please be honest because this is going to be my babies name forever lol, i also found it extremely interesting to find out what other kids though and my 6 year old neice pulled a face and said it was weird, thanks in advance xxx

Or Clee-uh-na depending on where in Ireland you are!

sweetpeame · 20/04/2015 22:11

I'm indifferent to it but hearing it wouldn't make me think of a car in any case so I wouldn't worry about that. I should point out though that Cleo isn't really a nickname Cliona, you don't really pronounce the "o" in the middle, it's not like Clio-na more like Clee-na.

Cleo is one of my very favourite names.

It's uncommon but everyone's heard of it. It will work well in lots of countries. Feminine but not frilly. Perfect.

Do it!

StickledPink · 20/04/2015 21:56

Yes, I like it too. There's a lovely employee at my DS Nursery called Cleo- beautiful looking girl and lovely with it. Go for it if you like it OP :)

StampyShortnose · 20/04/2015 21:53

Cleo is a brilliant name, I love it!

Don't like Cliona though.

NorksAreMessy · 20/04/2015 21:46

I immediately thought of wonderful Cleo Laine as well. You really need to listen to her, she is FAB
Love the name, didn't think of the car at all

Tazxxxxxx · 20/04/2015 21:40

It was the fish. It's a nice name though, I like it.

TheDeafeningClatterofDuplo · 20/04/2015 21:14

Goldfish! Figaro was the cat. Phew.

KERALA1 · 20/04/2015 21:13

I know 2 both really nice families go for it

TheDeafeningClatterofDuplo · 20/04/2015 21:12

Or was it the goldfish? Eek - off to Google it...

TheDeafeningClatterofDuplo · 20/04/2015 21:12

I think in the Disney Pinocchio the cat belonging to Gepetto the carpenter was called Cleo. Showing my age a bit but I liked it a lot and still do!

IvoryMadonna · 20/04/2015 20:52

I like Clio, and spelt that way - she is the Muse of History.

mrscatmad31 · 20/04/2015 20:17

The one I was at school with was really a Clare, but was known as Cleo.
