Lettie is a nn for...

I really love Lettie, but can't use Violet as a 'proper' name because our surname is a noun. I don't like Letticia at all. Can anyone come up with an alternative longer name that Lettie could be a nn for?

Or any similar names I might like?!

I know 2 Letties, their full names are Nicolette (who also gets called 'Nicorette' so maybe avoid that one) and Scarlett.

Letice, which is my spelling, Leti is my nn but I have never really been called my full name. I love my name, and never met another one! Use it!! I always receive many complements.

I don't know a Charlotte nn lette but I do know a Colette ( several actually, Letice is far more unusual).

Also, it means happiness, which is lovely.

It was usually spelled 'Lettice', and pronounced 'le-TEECE'.

How about Arlette or Nicolette, or Aleta?

Please don't use Lettie as a given name, especially with the ie ending - it's cute for a child and great as an nn but risks being twee for an adult. Colette is lovely and then at least she has choices as an adult (or if at any point she gets nicknamed Lettuce).

Lettie is usually short for Laetitia/ Letitia/ Lettice (all pronounced similarly).
