Opinions on aurora and Lola?
DH Loves it, I picked our other dd1 and dd2's name so these are the names he's picked!

Middle name would be Jane and last name is one syllable

Aurora.

Don't like Lola at all, Lila is nice though?

Lola was a transvestite according to The Kinks in the 60s.
Google the lyrics.

Or Dawn and Daybreak. Just doesn't sound the same, does it?

I'm not a great fan of Aurora. It sounds too much like "Rororo" when spoken quickly in English. It's lovely spoken in Spanish or Italian where every syllable rolls off the tongue. In fact I know a pair of Italian twins called Alba and Aurora (Dawn and ...er... Dawn)!

Aurora is awful. Lola is a showgirl, but I like it.

I really, really don't like either of them. If I had to go with one of them I'd pick Lola and try and find a longer name that it could be a nn for. It's traditionally short for Dolores, but that's even worse and means 'sorrows' so I'd try and find something else. Anything with a 'lo' in it could work.

I like both names, they are very pretty.

I loved Sleeping Beauty as a child , she is Princess Aurora. The only thing with Aurora I don't like is that it may be shortened to Rory - fine for a boy but not for a girl.

Lola doesn't have any nicknames so I would choose that.

I prefer Aurora Smile
