Another unusual but not crazy name thread.

I have a ds (2) and dd (6mts), and we just found out we're expecting!! They will all be close in age so I see them as a little gang and want their names to go well together. I am totally totally certain it's a boy for whatever reason so just thinking of boys names right now (find girls much easier anyway). My two have very very popular names. Think strong, short names that most people like. Top 10 but very old/classic rather that some of the trendy ones. I want something unusual for #3 (as I wasn't brave enough to go with Knox and Indy for #1 and #2!). But would like it to not be aggressively unusual. What do you think of Levi (forget about the jeans, nobody wears them anymore anyway!)? Any other unusual suggestions that are not too out there?

Levi is a Jewish surname - I've not heard of it as a first name, would probably be Lev or Leib.

Levi is pretty awful. Agree it has certain associations other than being an Old Testament name.

I would expect a Levi to be Jewish or fairly fundamentalist Christian.

And I'd never heard of this boy's name being used for a girl.

I don't like Levi at all, whether people wear the jeans or not it's a household brand name and people will associate the two.

Eli and Cole are really nice names?

I think Levi is nice, I am surprised to hear people see it as 'chavvy' (horrible word BTW, just a socially acceptable version of 'oik'). It's hardly one of the very faddy names of the minute like Jayden, Kayden, etc.

I think Levi is popular in Scandinavia, so it reminds me of other names popular there such as Milo, Theo, Loki, Viggo and Otto.

I love the name Levi. Unfortunately I won't be using it though as 1, although it's not a 'chavvy' name, the only one I do know of, does sort of fall under that category so ruins it for me, and 2, my dad has a close friend of that name.

I'd think of Levi as Old Testament, rather than chavvy, especially as you already have two with classic names.

Love Levi, can't believe it's a girls name too, sounds masculine to me. Really like Milo too.

Mark is quite unusual these days, but a familiar classic. A strong, short name that ticks several of your boxes.

I like Levi too OP and I don't understand how an old Hebrew name can be "chavvy".

If you are re-thinking, and you like old biblical names how about David, Saul, Isaac etc.

Levi is awful, a girl in the year above DD at school, got pregnant at 15 and named her son Levi.

Hmmm, Jesse would go well but maybe a bit too matchy with ds. I think if it was a girl we'd go with Georgia nn. Georgie which was a strong contender for dd a few months ago. Boys are so much harder. Yeah, I'm beginning to see Levi differently. Maybe not a good name.
