I mean as a first name............lots of lovely Louises out there with that as a middle name but five out of five Louises I have met have all been pretty dreadful.

I do have a lovely friend named Louise, and even if I didn't, it's Louise Brooks's name which makes it automatically awesome as far as I'm concerned! Grin
On the other hand, I've never met a Rebecca I liked...

How can you not know a nice Louise? It's such a common name for the 70s-90s generation. Some of the ones you've met must be nice! I can think of at least 6 off the top of my head and they're all lovely.

Also know loads of nice Amys, Claires and Natashas. In fact I have close friends with all three of those names. Also know a couple of lovely Felicitys, Chloes, Simons, Amelias and Nicolas.

I'm not keen on the only Rhea I know but that's a sample of one.

WinterBabyof89 · 10/04/2015 12:14

My SIL is called Louise - she's lovely :)

01ay · 10/04/2015 12:13

I know a nice Amy. Felicitys OTOH are always vile. Felicity Kendal is probably only pretending to be lovely.

Lj8893 · 10/04/2015 12:13

I have know some nice Louise's, and some not so nice Louise's.

Every Amy/Aimee/ami I have met have been lovely!!

abyssiniam8 · 10/04/2015 12:13

Oh, and I may be called Louise so you will dislike me I suppose, but at least I can spell PLEASANT....

weebleswillwobble · 10/04/2015 12:12

TheCowThatLaughs · 10/04/2015 12:09

I don't think I've ever known a Louise
I have known a Rhea who was a bit smelly, which I thought was appropriate

Groovee · 10/04/2015 12:09

Charming

calilark · 10/04/2015 12:09

Jackiebrambles · 10/04/2015 11:55

My sister is Louise and she's bloody marvellous!

WowserBowser · 10/04/2015 11:51

One of my good friends is a Louise.

She is ace in every way.

urbinosparrot · 10/04/2015 11:48

I''ve never met a Claire that I liked.

But I don't attribute that to the name. A rose would smell as sweet (or unpleasantGrin) by any other name...

Sophronia · 10/04/2015 09:54

I've never met a nice Amy/Aimee/Amie

startwig1982 · 10/04/2015 05:48

RL20 · 10/04/2015 05:33

I have an ex 'good' friend Louise - and no she wasn't very nice!

But then I also know a lovely Louise too!

Chippychop · 10/04/2015 05:30

Based on more than one example....

Louise's are lovely
Sally's are silly (nice way)
Kate's are sensible
Nicolas are nasty and selfish
Joanne's are down to earth
