Opinions on girls names please

Before falling pregnant my husband and I always said if we had a girl we would call her Beatrice Eva and she would be known as Bea. I'm now less keen so have thrown a couple of others into the mix.
What do people think of the following names and what do you think if anything they would get shortened to?
Beatrice Eva
Eleanor Beatrice
Emmeline Beatrice
Sienna Eva

Eleanor or Emmeline.

I'm thinking of going with Emmelina, it is Scandinavian, but the a makes it less likely to be confused with Emily.

There seem to be an awful lot of little Ellies around atm. Beatrice is OK, will be shortened to Bea. Emmeline Pankhurst is quite nice, as is Eva.

Sienna, to me, is a bit 'of the moment' and not timeless, so personally I would avoid it.

None of them set my heart thumping with excitement but they aren't awful either.

Beatrice Eva is nice but as it will be shortened to Bea she will the be Bea Eva (beaver). I know that she won't be introduced as Bea Eva as the middle name isn't used very often but it would still put me off (sorry!).

I do like Eleanor out of your list.

Beatrice Eva is lovely! Also like Eleanor and Emmeline, good choices all three. Don't like Sienna, it's a bit too "trendy" and I think will date quickly unlike the others. Good luck! I think you can't go wrong with any of those three.

Eleanor is my choice. If it was my name, I would not let people shorten it.

Sienna is my favourite of those four. I do like Eleanor but not keen on Ellie.

Bea is great! Eleanor and Emmeline are nice (esp Emmeline due to the Pankhurst connection) but will get shortened to Emmy/Emily and Ellie which are a bit dull.

I still haven't forgiven Jude Law for doing the dirty on Sadie Frost so Sienna would be ruled out for me (yes I know iabu but still)

Thanks all, I was concerned about the Beaver issue, ha ha and also not keen on Ellie as an abbreviation of Eleanor. Was thinking Emmeline could just be shortened to Em.

We've now added Beatrice Belle to the list. Still quite pretty and hopefully can't get the mick taken out of her.

Emmeline can also be Emeline in French - I think they're lovely names.

If I has been called Beatrice Eva I would probably have embraced the "beaver" aspect. I can see myself covering my school books with pictures of beavers Grin

I wouldn't worry too much about it being a euphemism for ladyparts, it's not one that's very commonly used.
