I met the most adorable twin boys in Florida who were called Chase and Chance.

I love Victor

Not exactly "virtue"names, but kind of noble:

Cassius
Marcus
Gabriel
Levi

Wow what a great response, thanks. Nothing that has really caught my eye yet. Some names are a bit out there for me and I'd have no chance convincing OH.

I like Constant, but the only Constant I know is on his fourth wife now.

If that's true it's hilarious! And a cautionary tale against giving your child a virtue name Grin

squoosh · 08/04/2015 18:47

My Puritan name would have been Temptress-Repent

MadameJosephine · 08/04/2015 18:43

I once knew a lovely man named Courage

Phineyj · 08/04/2015 18:40

Capability

PattyPenguin · 08/04/2015 18:38

Clement - usually shortened to Clem. (Means 'merciful', but I bet you all knew that.)

ErrolTheDragon · 08/04/2015 18:36

I did like in Morse that he got nicknamed 'Pagan' because he would never divulge his christian name. Grin

Seriously, some of these names are great but some would surely be a bit hard to live with. (Solemn? Confused)

MonstrousRatbag · 08/04/2015 18:30

There's a famous French novelist called Prosper Merimee, which is a great name.

QueenQueenie · 08/04/2015 18:19

I might have a Prosper... Lovely name!

MonstrousRatbag · 08/04/2015 18:17

Hmn. I'd like to think my Puritan name is Integrity or similar, but it's probably Sardonic. Or Procrastina.

RedToothBrush · 08/04/2015 18:01

Endeavour is my new favourite name on these threads Grin

Seems like I may not be alone!

MehsMum · 08/04/2015 17:56

DH always says that if he had one of those Puritan names, it would be Selfindulgence.

Prosper
Fortune
