Short boys name....

Eeek I hate picking names.. Hubby vetoes everything while only suggestion crap like chewbacca...
Finding it especially tricky as this is baby number 3 and our selection has narrowed somewhat as lots of our dcs friends have lovely names..
We have a 3 syllable surname beginning with R so thought a short first name would be nice. Dd is Ivy.
Ds is Ozzy
Like names like that aren't top 10 (Ivy wasn't so popular when we picked it 8 years ago) but nothing too American sounding/out there.

Ike- short for Isaac, but just as good on it's own. Would have been dd2's name, if she'd been a boy.

(We have just got a puppy called Ike)Grin

It's Air-ron in Church, Bible readings etc Very engrained pronunciation.

Air- Ron is american though surely? I've never heard anyone pronounce that way in the uk

If you want to avoid the Air-ron thing then surely you would just use Arran which is a more accepted spelling in the same way as Lewis and Harris?

It is but when a lot of people see that spelling they tend to pronounce it Air-ron which we really dislike.

We wanted to avoid it from happening and thankfully it never has Grin

I really like arron however we have 3 r's in our surname so don't know if it would be a bit r heavy?! Do you have any other kids with such nice names?!

I quite like Scot! I have a particularly annoying cousin with the same name so he has tainted it somewhat..
