Do you think that Cara Mae or Anna Mae are nice together as Middle name??

Order of preference:
Cara
Anna
Leah
Not keen on aoife

verelab · 15/03/2015 21:50

Cara and Leah are great names. Hardly know any Caras- don't think it'll suddenly explode in popularity. Don't know a single Leah.

Anna is dull IMO. I'm afraid there's always been something that irritates me about this name!

Aoife sounds too like Eva, of which there are loads at the moment.

Good Luck with choosing. Such fun!

LemonBreeland · 15/03/2015 20:40

Aoife is lovely. And despite not being keen on 'normal' names, I really love Anna.

applecatchers36 · 15/03/2015 20:34

Aoife is lovley if you have Irish heritage

Leah also a sweet name

Anna, as people have said a classic, but maybe less interesting/ unusual

Cara is very 'now' think it might date

KenDoddsDadsDog · 15/03/2015 20:03

Cara for me.

sweetpeame · 15/03/2015 20:00

Cara's very pretty.

Leah sounds a bit 1990's to my ears but maybe that's because I went to school with a few of them in the '90's.

Like Anna (it's also my middle name!), it's classic and timeless I think. Wouldn't be too worried about the Frozen connection, it's not like it was an unused name before.

Personally I know a load of Aoife's in their 30's (grew up in Ireland). I'm always surprised at it's current popularity now here. For me it's the equivalent of calling your daughter Emma or Sarah (perfectly fine but not very interesting).

Sophronia · 15/03/2015 19:59

Anna or Leah

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 15/03/2015 19:48

Leah, then Cara

akorda · 15/03/2015 19:30

Cara and Leah are gorgeous, and much more unusual than Anna - there are loads round here and bound to be more because of the continuing popularity of Frozen.

I really don't think people would think you were naming a Cara after the model.

Aoife too hard to spell!

Cara probably my top choice - lovely meaning as well.

Nocturne123 · 15/03/2015 19:28

Love Cara , quite like Aoife though I know too many ( all late twenties) not too keen on the other two

HootOnTheBeach · 15/03/2015 19:15

I love Cara but that carries the risk of looking like you named your baby after the latest modelling sensation Wink

Janinec123 · 15/03/2015 19:00

They are my personal 3 favourites. Love Anna too but I know another close person if they ever have a girl say they'd like Anna and im afraid of offending!! I love Anna, cara and aoife they were my picks others were oh!! Smile

Would call child Leah: very pretty name

Dislike Aoife, and condemns child to lifetime of spelling it....

DramaAlpaca · 15/03/2015 18:57

I love Aoife, Anna & Cara.

I'm slightly less keen on Leah personally as I don't like the meaning.

If you are in the UK some people will struggle with pronouncing Aoife, though it's a bit more popular these days. In Ireland there are lots of Aoifes around, not surprisingly as it's a lovely name.

Anna is a classic & I love it.

Cara is very pretty. In the same vein I like Clara & Tara, too.

SpamAnderson · 15/03/2015 18:55

Leah and Cara were on my 'short' list :)

shoelovingfinn · 15/03/2015 18:53

Would not really use any myself but Leah is cute.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 15/03/2015 18:53

Love them all apart from Aoife.

Anna is my favourite, closely followed by Leah. I like Cara too.
We had Carla on our shortlist which is similar.
