Really like this but will she just be lost in the army of Eve/Eva/Evie/Ava's taking over the world at present?

I have an evangelineSmile we got it off nanny McPhee.

She has a few nn & loves the song off the princess & the frog.

Her mn is also long but sounds nice with our short surname

CaptainCunt · 05/03/2015 15:53

It's on my list but every other child here is an Eve/Evie

MarieJeanne · 05/03/2015 15:43

I love it, and Emmeline
And Josephine

Blamenargles · 05/03/2015 15:34

I love evangeline

mamaslatts · 05/03/2015 13:04

ch1134 - names such as Moses or Ezekiel sound far more religious to me. I'm fairly indifferent to religion so it doesn't really bother me either way.

I think it sounds very very religious. .. evangelical in fact!

mamaslatts · 03/03/2015 20:07

Emmeline is nice too. Smile

Doesn't really come across as particularly religious to me so that doesn't really bother me.

I love it. I want it as a middle name for bump if it turns out to be a girl but DH isn't keen Sad

NanaNina · 03/03/2015 12:41

Eglantine - sounds like the name of a shrub (variegated eglantine!)

shakemysilliesout · 03/03/2015 05:50

What about eglantine?

Beyoncescat · 03/03/2015 01:15

Rose

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 03/03/2015 00:59

YouAreAngryyyyyyyy · 03/03/2015 00:57

Great name Smile. I wouldnt use a NN.

mayaknew · 03/03/2015 00:42

I love love love thus name !!

It was on my shortlist for dc2 but I had a boy .

rootypig · 03/03/2015 00:39

We know an Evangelina, she is an Eva (Eh-va, Spanish) and routinely confused with Ava, another child who runs about.

It is definitely too much for her mama to call her her whole name every time. So if you do decide on it, have another nickname in mind.

StrawberryMojito · 03/03/2015 00:36

Nice but yes I think she will become one of many Evies.

Sophronia · 03/03/2015 00:32

I know an American one with the nickname Vangie.

Kleptronic · 03/03/2015 00:09

Go for it. Shorten it to Angel.

NanaNina · 02/03/2015 23:46

Sorry I think it sounds like Vaseline and it's quite a mouthful - and yes I'm sure she could join the army of Ellies/Evies/Avas etc.

BackforGood · 02/03/2015 23:45

You been watching Call the Midwife? Wink

jubileepeanuts · 02/03/2015 23:36

Lovely but will probably be shortened to Eva - I also the song Evangeline by Matthew Sweet

pnutter · 02/03/2015 23:33

Beautiful

slippermaiden · 02/03/2015 23:31

It's beautiful. I would have considered it if I'd had another girl.

AuntieStella · 02/03/2015 23:11

It's a very, very Christian, proselytising name. Are you OK with that association?
