This is my "short" list of names for DD4. Full name would be a combination of 2/3 of these with a W surname. I have already noted that initials GF and FGM would be best avoided! Is OW a pitfall or am I being too picky?

Elinor
Flora

I don't think initials matter at all :)

I have an Orla so I'm bias there, emmeline is lovely.

I'd never ever have associated those initials with either example you gave!

Genevieve - like, good nickname potential
Emmeline - love, unusual but completely 'normal' iyswim
Orla - ok
Elinor - love but prefer Eleanor spelling
Flora - ok, prefer Florence
Miriam - love, good as it is or could be Miri, Mim, Mimi...

I like all of them except Miriam.

Genevieve, Emmeline and Orla are the best. Genevieve is my most favouritist. It's beautiful.

I really really like Miriam, and quite like Orla and Elinor (and that spelling in particular). I think Miriam Elinor sounds lovely.

I don't think FGM is a problem because if you were writing all the initials out like that it would be FGMW and therefore not noticeable. And I'd never realise about GF.

Genevieve - love it
Emmeline - it's ok
Orla - not keen
Elinor - quite like it. Would worry about Ellie which I'm not keen on
Flora - quite like it
Miriam - really like it

I think I'd go for Genevieve Miriam W----
or Miriam Eleanor Genevieve W-----

Miriam Elinor would be lovely. This spelling of Elinor is very pretty and nice for being more unusual. Flora is nice too.

Emmeline and Genevieve are a bit fussy for my taste and I don't like Orla.

Love Eleanor but not keen on Elinor. Genevieve, Emmeline and Flora are all lovely too, but not keen on Miriam or Orla at all I'm afraid. Definately avoid FGM! GF means gluten free to me, but I had to think about it, wouldn't avoid it for that reason especially as it's only for the first two names. Don't think OW is a problem either.
