Sylvia is just lovely! And much less popular than the others at the moment.

WBDMum · 06/03/2015 19:51

Anna

AnneElliott · 06/03/2015 19:19

Anna is the only one I like.

I love Agatha. Anna's OK. Not keen on the others.

Agatha

DianeLockhart · 06/03/2015 00:55

Anna

lindsay982 · 05/03/2015 20:59

I like Phoebe, just added it to my list after seeing it on another thread. Anna's ok too but not really keen on Agatha or Sylvia, though I agree with previous comments that Sylvie is better.

akorda · 05/03/2015 14:22

Sylvia is so lovely and Sylvie is a gorgeous nickname. Please use this! I once met a boy called Sylvan and though that was great too!

Anna has become very popular now in the South East. And a bit "safe" I think.

Agatha is not my cup of tea, but I quite like Agnes.

oneboy3girls · 04/03/2015 09:53

Only Anna

bingobingo · 04/03/2015 08:58

Sylvia.

sparklesandfizz · 01/03/2015 23:22

Agatha for sure

rockinrobintweet · 01/03/2015 20:34

Sylvia. I LOVE nn Silver

SimplySara · 01/03/2015 12:25

Agatha was going to be our girls name but had a boy instead. Love marmite names as those who get it, get it and those who don't can shove off.
Anna is just bland
Sylvia is nice and my DP really liked it.

TheCowThatLaughs · 01/03/2015 10:26

Sylvia

Anaffaquine · 01/03/2015 10:21

I think with Frozen, Anna might be quite popular.
It was on our list but there have been a few born around here recently.
Love Phoebe but people always muck up the spelling.
Quite like Sylvia
Agatha really not to my taste.

Mercedes · 01/03/2015 10:13

Anna

Bellejournee · 01/03/2015 09:51

Anna

rosepetalsoup · 26/02/2015 08:08

Not at all Enrique, just as I'd call an Olivia 'Livvy'. I like the name Sylvia a lot, hence it being on my list of four favourites!!

I love Sylvie but don't like Sylvia for some reason. But it's a good name and as you say she can choose what to go by so I'd be tempted to go for that. I love Anna and Phoebe too. Please, anything but Agatha.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 25/02/2015 22:30

I think we just have a different approach to naming. I'm not in tune with the idea that you name a child with a view to actually calling them a variant of the given name like Prince Henry always known as Harry. I'd simply have called him Harry if that's what we preferred.
Our DCs' nicknames are totally unrelated to their given names because they just evolved through friends, circumstance and character as they grew, which we like because it's more personal and natural (to us)

Have you come any closer to finding a name yet?
