Middle name will be Clementine

First names currently on the list in order of favourite:

Rose
Holly
Rosie
Jemima
Francesca
Penelope
Amber

I love Penelope, Rose and Francesca (tho' IMO there are no very satisfactory nicknames for Francesca, and it's a bit of a mouthful so will probably be shortened at some stage).

The Jasper I know has a sister called Clarabel (yes, as in Thomas the Tank Engine!)

I think Rose would be lovely with Jasper. And you can call her Rosie as a pet name - so that's two off your list! Rose is do beautiful, elegant and classy. I was stuck between Lily and Rose for my dd, who is now Lily.

I has a beautiful doll called Francesca. I used to call her Chessie as a nn.

I don't like Penny either - dd2 (nearly 6yo) has never been called Penny only Nell. I imagine Francesca (I know a few of various ages) would be Frankie; the only 'Fran's I know are Frances . I like Francesca it goes well Smile

I wouldn't use Amber (pretty name though) with Jasper it's OTT.

Before I read your shortlist I thought Anna or Beatrice.

I like Jemima from your list though not sure I'd pick it with Jasper.

I think Rosie would go nicely.

Jemima Clementine is lovely to say and goes brilliantly.

Francesca and jasper is a bit rhyme-y but nicknames like Chessie and Cheska are nice.

Could Francesca be Frankie rather than Fran?

The Jasper I know has Maisie for a sister, but I like Francesca best from your list.

Yes, I realise Jasper and Amber together is a bit "Hmmm" but I just really like the name.

Penelope is my DH's favourite. I like it, but I'm really not into Penny as a nn, which I think is inevitable. I have similar issue with Francesca, I don't like Fran. But I think that even if you call your child a nn you like, you can't really control what it will be at school and beyond.

I really like Eleanor, but we have an cousin Ella in the family of the same generation, it would be too similar.

I like all of your choices but I'm not sure that many go birth with Jasper as a sibling and with Clementine as a middle name. I think Rose fits the bill best.
