This was my Farhers name (he passed in 2010). Usually a surname I know and I've never met any other Falconer's. Really interested on thoughts. His middle name would be James - Falconer James :)

Other options are

Oscar James
Benjamin James
Hugo James (DH not too keen!!)

Thanks x

The first time I saw it I thought absolutely not. Looking at it again though? It's brilliant. Different and memorable without being totally weird. I think James as a middle name balances it really well

BackforGood · 19/02/2015 23:21

I don't rally like it, but if you want to name him after your Dad, why not use that as a middle name and, as others have suggested, go for James Falconor ?

LeChatRouge · 19/02/2015 23:18

I vote yes.

Absolutely definitely yes. Great, strong name.

Sophronia · 19/02/2015 23:18

I'd go for James Falconer instead.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 19/02/2015 23:16

It sounds cool and means something to you Smile

MrsBungle · 19/02/2015 23:14

I know a falconer. I quite like it. I'm Scottish and quite a few people I know have 'surname' first names. I know a Crawford, innes, miller, Fraser, Cameron. I like them.

NetballHoop · 19/02/2015 23:11

+1 for a middle name. It has family history and sounds very cool.

SarahB1083 · 19/02/2015 23:08

Yes - he suited his name extremely well. Maybe I should consider it for a
Middle name....
I just see my Dad and can't picture a little baby boy so nice to hear MN opinions!

I wouldn't, but it's a marvellous middle-name. It is a cool sounding name. Did your dad wear it well?

Blahia · 19/02/2015 23:04

I wouldn't personally, but I think it's cool and it means something to you, so why not?
