Florence is lovely. OH's ex is called Charlotte so it is clearly the name of dog-faced harlots.

mathanxiety · 20/02/2015 19:37

I like Alice most, but between Florence and Charlotte I would pick Charlotte, mainly because I love the NN Lottie and don't like Flo or Florrie at all.

MarieJeanne · 20/02/2015 17:37

I like them both and all the nns.
If i had to choose - Florence

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 20/02/2015 17:30

Florence...

Lunastarfish · 19/02/2015 20:02

Wow - you have managed to pick my 3 most hated girls names, I'm impressed!!! Grin

So Florence by default (I also think it's a lovely name)

maggiethemagpie · 19/02/2015 13:17

Charlotte. Florence always sounds a bit of a mouthful to my ears.

Blondie87 · 19/02/2015 12:57

Charlotte is lovely and classic. Heard lots of Florences recently which may or may not bother you.

Notso · 19/02/2015 12:49

Florence, I do quite like Charlotte but the nn Lottie puts me off.

FunMitFlags · 19/02/2015 12:47

Florence

MooseyMoo · 19/02/2015 12:38

I like both. My granny was Florence and her nn was Florrie

ourglass · 19/02/2015 12:35

I love Florence

LollyLondon · 19/02/2015 12:34

Both really lovely names. Florence has the slight edge for me.

cashewnutty · 18/02/2015 21:47

I love Florence. I know one who is called Flo and she is a tall beautiful 17 year old. It suits her wonderfully.

MalletsMallet · 18/02/2015 20:54

Florence NN Flossie or Floss. If i was lucky enough to fall pregnant I would choose this name Smile

I like Charlotte too but know too many of them for it to be a contender.

DramaAlpaca · 18/02/2015 20:27

Charlotte.

Jackieharris · 18/02/2015 20:26

Charlotte.

The Cameron's have a Florence.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 18/02/2015 20:18

Charlotte. Florence is a bit faddy and very, very popular where I am. Charlotte is classic.

Pandora37 · 18/02/2015 20:08

Definitely Charlotte.

Morelikeguidelines · 18/02/2015 19:12

Charlotte. I know some lovely Charlotte.

The only Florence I have ever known was an utter bitch (a Wendy? If that is the person who does the bitchiness, not the victim. I never know.)

hawkmcqueen · 18/02/2015 19:09

Charlotte. I have one and some of the comments from MN was that it was a boring name but I find it soft, feminine, classic and find it is well approved of.
Florence for me is try too hard, dare I say it.

ChickenMe · 18/02/2015 18:51

Charlotte. Florence seems too trendy at the moment.

Bowlersarm · 18/02/2015 18:49

Florence.

Although Charlotte is fine.

pilates · 18/02/2015 18:40

Charlotte

NadiaWadia · 18/02/2015 05:31

I prefer Charlotte, I find Florence a bit stodgy. But Alice is beautiful!

Raahh · 18/02/2015 05:01

I love Florence and Alice- Florence was my gran's name, and Alice was her aunt's name- and my 15 year old niece's Grin

I wanted Florence for dd2 (wasn't put off that she was due a month after the Cameron's baby)- but dh wasn't keen on Flo as a short form, and said Flossie sounded like a sheepdogSad.

I like Charlotte too, and know a lot of Graces- for good reason, probably as it's a lovely name.

I'm no help am I? Grin
