Beer triss. That is how my grandmother pronounced her name.

I would pronounce it Bee-uh-triss too.

It might be my accent though eg my accent doesn't 'allow' me to put an 'r' in a word where it's not there. (I'm using the word 'allow' just because I can't think of a better one). And if I said Bay-triss it would sound very unnatural with my accent too.
