Old fashioned English boys names

I have a Billy, a Stanley and an Albert.

If this next one is a boy, I have no idea what to call him!

I like Eric and I like Arthur, but my main criteria is that the name can be shortened nicely, and neither of those can.

Ideas?

I quite like Montgomery, but I can't help but think that a Monty would get picked on for his name. Same with Cuthbert.
Might try them out on DH.

Also quite like Ernest but not sure I could keep a straight face calling him Ernie...
