All lovely but if I had to choose one it would be Cleo!

Pandora37 · 09/02/2015 13:16

I really like them all actually . My favourites are Genevieve and Sylvie but I'd worry that Genevieve would end up being shortened to Genny or Evie which are nice but not as nice as the full name IMO.

Vvvoom · 08/02/2015 07:19

Adore Helena. Helena Sylvie is fab.

ClementineAndCordelia · 07/02/2015 20:14

Sylvie is my favourite from your list .

isthisjustfantasy · 07/02/2015 18:28

Helena is my niece's name and she's a beautiful little doll so it gets my vote. I also like Genevieve which was on my shortlist but not keen on it being shortened to Gen.

kindersurprises · 07/02/2015 16:22

I really like all of them and they have all been on my shortlists over the years!

Helena and Genevieve are longer a bit more elegant.
Cleo is more perky with a good ancient Greek connection. Was she the muse of comedy?
I also really like Adele and Adela. I was a little put off using Adele myself because of the singer and people assuming that I had names a DD after her.
I like Sylvie too but it is my least favourite of your list.

What is your other DD called?

ZenNudist · 06/02/2015 23:00

I am Helena (hel-enn-ah). I was always pleased with my name. I go through life explaining its Helen with an 'a' on. It's good to decide if you'd rather use Hel-ay-nah. No one ever called me Ellie / Elena etc. You could use Lena as nn as that's quite current. I use my full name only.

For my own dd I'd love Sylvie , gorgeous!

Don't like Genevieve, fussy, overlong and shortens to the distinctly dull 'Jen'.

Helena or Adele.

Helena or Sylvie.

catrin · 03/02/2015 00:19

Helena, though love the pronunciation of my friend's name - Hell/ay/na rather than Hell/a/na

Sylvie is pretty

Love Genevieve as the French way (Jon/vie/ev) rather than Gen/a/veev

Fuckmath · 03/02/2015 00:18

Helena

A vote for Helena Smile

Helena

Ludways · 02/02/2015 23:35

I like them in the order you have them written in your op.

I do prefer Genevieve pronounced the French way so I'd never go for it in this country.

ChippingInLatteLover · 02/02/2015 23:29

We have very different tastes in names, but out of those Helena without a doubt, unless Genevieve is only for her BC and you'd actually call her Evie day to day.

Cleo is a car (Clio, I know, but...)

VioletVelvet · 02/02/2015 23:28
