How would you pronounce...

Evelyn?

Just curious as I would pronounce it
Eve - Lynn but when I was chatting to DM about girls names she said she would pronounce it Ev - Lynn.

So wise mumsnetters, who is correct??Smile

I work with an Ev-elyn. She says it's split 50/50 on how people pronounce it and says that she grew not to mind as it was easier than correcting every other person.
