I used to think it was lovely, unusual but useable - then a friend used it on her DD and it just seems totally weird and OTT in real life....

It's lovely. (There's an Aurora in "My Brilliant Career" by Miles Franklin who's known as Rory, but I wouldn't let anyone shorten it if it were my name)

It's quite Disney but not overly so as the Roman goddess pre-dates Sleeping Beauty by a year or two.

I think Rory could be a nickname but I hate Rory being nabbed as a girl's name so please don't!
