What do you think to Primrose? Or any other ideas for names a little like this?

I have recently had a baby and have called her Tiger-Rose, my grandmother (think 70ish) wants to know why we couldn't call her Primrose. I think, due to the Hunger games it will become overly popular. I do like it though

I love it. So pretty. Doesn't make me think of the Shipman's at all. I know a very good solicitor called Primrose so I think it works fine as an adult name.

I love it, really love it. I wanted to but in on our list for DD2 but DH didn't like it at all. We settled on Rosa as her middle name.

Oh you're all being a bit mean. I've never heard of/don't remember Primrose Shipman (tho I have heard of him obvs. )
I know a grown up one and she is known as Rose or Rosey to most people and seems happy with it.

it's ever so popular where i am. and my sisters bump is due to be Primrose. i like it for her, but IMO it's a name that won't grow with the child.

Love it. I also love Marigold, Fern and Clover. Sadly they all sounded ridiculous with our surname.

Primrose sounds lovely, I didn't even know Harold shipmans wife was called primrose, so doubtful when she is growing up it'll be relevant?

I've worked with two Primroses. Both were absolutely lovely. One shortened it to Prim which (although obv her choice!) seemed a shame as it's so pretty.

Bloody terrible. It's beyond twee, twee is a speck on the horizon to the name Primrose.
