Girls Names Help - Too many rules not enough choices

We have agreed we want a name that ends in an "E" sound, and doesn't start with a J or a W. And preferably two syllables, Groan.

On the list at the moment (but nothing feels right):
Holly
Zoe
Gracie
Verity
Maisie

Vetoed: Just about everything else we can think of...
All the other flower names (poppy, rosie, etc)
Anything too unusual where spelling is an issue
Anything too popular in the top ten like Sophie
Anything with a hard "K"
Anything too Welsh, Irish or Scottish (Just because people will ask if we have any connection and we don't)
No gemstone names as we have one already

Can you think of anything at all? or have any comments on our current short list?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Suzie (short for Suzannah - love this and really wanted to use it!)

please don't! This is my name and the fact that there are a squillion ways to spell it (I don't spell mine like that) has dogged me for 40 odd years. Even when people see it on my email they still manage to use a different spelling!

Susie
Suzie
Susi
Suzi
Suzy
Susy
Siouxsie (OK, that last is unlikely Grin)

is it short for Susan? Suzanne? Susannah? Suzannah?

Just... don't. Please. For your child.

Other than that, it's a not bad name... Smile

OP - you do sound like a bit of a hopeless cause. So, what about Mildred?

or back to the rules - Gertie?

myotherusernameisbetter · 20/01/2015 21:52

why those rules if you don't mind me asking?

Nightstar · 20/01/2015 21:44

Thank you for so many fast and in-keeping responses!

Unfortunately we had already crossed off nearly every single one of them. I'm quite smitten with Daphne, but DH says no.

I'm starting to think we will never agree
