Confessions - names you love but will never use

Just as title really. I have a theory that everyone has a baby name that they love but will never/ have never got to use. Mine is Silas, always adored it but DH (and almost everyone else in rl) hates it. My mum's is Toby, she's tried to get us to use it but we haven't obliged. Would anyone else care to share?

Bug Isis is (was) another of mine but for the same reason as Silas doesn't work with our surname. It also doesn't suit boys Wink. Very sad that is has such negative connotations now as it's a beautiful name

Silas is my one, too OP. Love it but really doesn't work with our surname Sad (plus wouldn't have been able to convince DH). I also love Casper, Topaz, Tabitha and Topaz

Indiana for a girl and Cillian for a boy.

Maybe one day if we have dc3?? I've also always loved the name Summer with Rain as a middle name.

This thread has made me want dc3 now , which would be all kinds of wrong for me at this moment in time .

I sobbed real hormonal tears over this one as it doesn't go with my surname.

I would love Matilda for a girl too, but seeing as I have a boy and am unlikely to have another child that one is out too.

I may have to get cats just to use my names on Grin

I met a lady called Isis years ago. (She pronounced it eee-sis.) I always loved it, still do. DH vetoed it. Probably for the best now!

Antonia, because that's the name of my brothers ex, and it would be like saying to SIL 'I'm naming my DD after the person I'd rather have had for a SIL...'
I wouldn't say it's an absolute 'favourite' name but it definitely would be a contender if it wasn't for DB's ex.
