Opinions on these names please?

Also, any others you think are nice that work for a baby boy born in the UK and what nicknames could you use for any of them?

Luca
Angelo
Carmelo
Enzo
Franco
Orso
Raffael
Julius

I know a leo(nardo)

Franco is top of my list at the mo (or possibly Franklin)

Valentino is a fave of DPs although he insists that he's not brave enough to suggest it as a proper name

I used to know a man and his little son through work called Pepe and Marcelo

Some lovely names here, but IF you are not Italian, some people might ask 'why?'

Lavendar ... I love Franco but hate Frank and Frankie... Frankie is the name of choice for the Range rovers here. We live in a fairly middleclass area that has been overtaken by Z list celebs

The problem I have with Luca is it is so common now, every man and his dog round here is called Luca (or Finley...)

Family names include:
Marco
Riccardo
Giorgio
Giovanni
Fabio
Nicola
Fulvio
Mario

So they are all out...

Your cat has a middle name Lynette? Makes sense I suppose, mine has a double barrelled surname (neither of which are mine or DH's).

Although I do know a fabulous little Lorenzo. He's just called Lorenzo. It's also my cat's middle name.
