My husband loves Alden, but I worry that it would be forever be misread as Aiden. Am I worrying too much?

Full name would be Alden Porter B (one syllable last name).

I misread it too. How about spelling it Aulden?

SoupDragon · 04/01/2015 14:27

My friend has a Alden but I've never even thought that is was similar to Alden or misread it...

No, but you clearly struggle with Aiden :o

Clemelan · 04/01/2015 13:36

My friend has a Alden but I've never even thought that is was similar to Alden or misread it... But now I'm sure I will! Hehe, people will always misread or mis-spell 'unusual' names, that's their problem.. If you love it then have it! X

I also misread and was wondering 'what does she mean, Aiden misread as Aiden'.

I'm clearly a lazy reader.

TheWhispersOfTheGods · 03/01/2015 22:37

I didn't misread it, but did think it was Aiden mistyped until I read the whole title.

LynetteScavo · 03/01/2015 22:10

Im the only person who read it as Aladdin then.

DramaAlpaca · 03/01/2015 21:51

I don't usually misread names, but I did this time.

Sorry OP, it's actually quite a nice name.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 03/01/2015 21:46

I never misread names, but s lot of people do.

TendonQueen · 02/01/2015 10:35

TimefIies · 02/01/2015 10:23

Yes,I read it as Aiden too...

elvislives2012 · 02/01/2015 09:07

I didn't misread and I don't know any aldens!

QueenofKelsingra · 02/01/2015 09:06

I didn't misread, but I used to work with an Alden. I don't think its reason not to use it if you like the name.

GirlOutNumbered · 02/01/2015 08:58

I didn't misread it, but then I also teach an Alden.
Also I teach a few with the surname Alden.

littlesupersparks · 02/01/2015 08:56

I've got an Alden in one of my classes - I've never misread it - I don't think it's an issue at all!!

ArsenicFaceCream · 02/01/2015 08:55

Great name! Double 'l' idea might work.

Beehatch · 02/01/2015 08:55

How about Alban?

DefiniteMaybe · 02/01/2015 08:53

I mis read it too but I have an Aidan and hate the Aiden spelling si could be to do with that.

shakemysilliesout · 02/01/2015 08:51

What about Alban?

TheLastThneed · 02/01/2015 08:19

I mis-read it too. I know of an Alden, but I have a very good friend called Aiden, so my eyes saw Aiden.

EhricJinglingHisBallsOnHigh · 02/01/2015 08:15

I read your title as aiden forever misread as aiden, sorry

TheFallenMadonna · 02/01/2015 08:09

I have taught a few and have never misread it.

SoupDragon · 02/01/2015 08:06

I assumed this was about Aiden misread as Aidan. I hate the -en spelling so it caught my eye.

GooodMythicalMorning · 02/01/2015 07:57

Yes did it here too. Sorry

Bugsylugs · 02/01/2015 07:57

OddBoots · 02/01/2015 07:53

I'm another who misread it in the title but it is before my first coffee of the day.
