Monty or Seb?

Votes please ladies!

We are currently trying to decide between Montgomery which we would shorten to Monty and Sebastian which we'd shorten to Seb.

Which do you prefer?

I knew a family with brothers called Sebastian and Monty. Definitely prefer Sebastian.

Monty is a great name for a Jack Russell. For a human it's bloody awful.

I vote for Sebastian.

Sebastian but only if you don't shorten it.
Monty (Montgomery) just sound too pretentious to me... I also think of Monty as the kind of name that might belong to an eccentric uncle, or worse, a cat!

Quite like Bastian as a shortened version of Sebastian, might be a bit too French sounding for UK usage though, and probably wouldn't work well with most UK accents.

I love both. I think I slightly prefer Sebastian but I'm worried it's going to get super popular so am wavering over it for our DS.

Whilst Sebastian sounds nice and strong, its nicknames Seb, Sebby or Basty don't imo.

I much prefer Monty as a nickname.
