Agree that Beau is definitely a boy's name, and also not too keen on Rain, Luna, River etc. To me, those words all have meanings that are 'stronger' than 'female child', if you see what I mean. For eg, if I hear the word 'River', I think first of all of flowing water, not of a person. That seems somehow unfair on the child.

If you are in Scotland, I expect you know that Mirren is sometimes spelled and (approx) pronounced Murren (and variations) (80 Mirren and variations in 2013; 33 Murren and variations - it's been climbing in recent years and is now within the top 100 names in Scotland). Both are versions of old Gaelic name Muireann.
