So here is our shortlist...

Max
Benjamin
Edward (Teddy or Test for every day use)
William (Bill)
Toby

Struggling to narrow it down now...

Middle name will be Douglas though so we're half there!

So baby name jury... which do you prefer?!

Ted or Teddy and Max

Not Toby

SurfsUp1 · 18/12/2014 07:29

William - but Billy rather than Bill.

FrancieHurley · 18/12/2014 01:42

I like Benjamin and Teddy the most. They're like Ben Franklin and Teddy Roosevelt

Edward then William are my favourites.

My ds was going to be Edward up until almost the very last minute. Still love the name!

itssangriaoclock · 17/12/2014 22:31

All are very popular names at the mo especially teddy. I know at least 5 all under two.

If I had to choose Benjamin Douglas would be the winner.

TheScenicRoute · 17/12/2014 20:53

Edward ted teddy. X

BlueStarsAtNight · 17/12/2014 07:57

In order, I like:

Max
William (Bill)
Benjamin
Edward (bit fed up of Ted/Teddy though, it's a bit faddy round here)
Toby

mathanxiety · 17/12/2014 04:33

Love Benjamin and Edward.

Guin1 · 16/12/2014 14:59

Love Edward/Teddy/Ted, but very biased as I have a gorgeous 2yo Teddy (Edward). There is also the bonus nn of Bear, which he just loves, along with any bear-themed songs, books, toys, TV, clothes - and there are LOTS!

Also really like Toby.

Smugnogplease · 16/12/2014 13:40

Toby is a dogs name IMO, I love Douglas from your list, the others a a bit over used for me

Rosedust · 16/12/2014 13:36

Thanks everyone - think we'll stick the list to the fridge to help us focus!

I like Max, Benjamin and William best, but don't like Bill. Lovely list, not often I like all the choices on offer!

WhichChimney · 16/12/2014 12:38

William

HenriettaTurkey · 16/12/2014 12:24

I think Benjamin, William & Edward go best with Douglas; Toby & Max less so.

I also love Samuel & Theodore with Douglas (just saying!)

Fallingovercliffs · 16/12/2014 12:23

I don't like Bill but I love William. Benjamin is bound to be shortened to Ben which is a name I'm a bit sick of. Otherwise I like your choices, including the nicknames for Edward.

Bowlersarm · 16/12/2014 11:53

Hate Bill. (Love Will)

The rest are fine; my favourites are Edward nn Teddy, or Toby.

manicinsomniac · 16/12/2014 11:50

All lovely but William and Toby are my favourites

Sophronia · 16/12/2014 10:58

William Douglas. I really like Bill / Billy as a nickname.

VixxenPlusAllTheOtherReindeers · 16/12/2014 10:14

Bill is a strange name for anyone under 40.

Teddy is very cute.

Rosedust · 16/12/2014 09:55

Yep, Will is nice too Smile

HenriettaTurkey · 16/12/2014 09:52

William also gives loads of options: Bill, Billy, Will, Liam...

InanimateCarbonRod · 16/12/2014 09:51

I like Edward - wouldn't shorten it though. It's a classic masculine name but Ted or Teddy makes it a bit .. mushy for want of a better term.

Rosedust · 16/12/2014 09:51

Thanks everyone - Edward does give him lots of options for when he is older Smile
