WARNING Nerds naming a baby...

Hello ladies :) I'm pregnant with non-identical twins (unknown genders) and we're stuck in the mud. Our current favourites are ~

Honest opinions and suggestions would be lovely although be gentle, over emotional pregnant lady alert

Oh, I assumed when I clicked you meant nerdy as in "intellectual" not just that you like to watch sci-fi.

I like Cersei, it's got a lovely sound to it. I actually prefer the GRRM spelling though.
If you are an asoiaf fan how about Allysane or Lyanna ?

How about Clarissa or Jace from Mortal Instruments?

Jocelyn is another one from that and I love Jocelyn.

Does he know about the Azazel/demon thing? I wouldnt name my child afer that!

Ooh I like Lucian! Will ask SO about this when he gets home.
The Khaleesi/Daenerys argument is one we've had a lot. I prefer Daenerys he likes Khaleesi. Went with Khaleesi because our surname begins with a D, Rogue and Azazel are also him. My favourites are Sansa, Castiel, Wulfric & Paloma. Keep them coming :)

The only name I would avoid is khaleesi, I know it's popular because of game of thrones, but it's a title, not a name.
It just means wife of a horse lord, most Khals or horse lords "shared" their wives with the Khalisar and some even with their horses. Its not something I would want to name my daughter after.
Daenerys is nicer if you like the character.

Azazel is a demon/supervillain; even in the Asimov stories he's not nice.

Rogue is a female mutant, surely?

The game of thrones ones will date horribly I think and are clearly made up words; your child will be forever spelling them out!

How about Malcolm (firefly), Ellen (alien), Giles, or even Xander?

Rogue is clearly a girl's name.

And I'm not sure what you're thinking of when you think of Percy, but it makes me think of Thomas the Tank Engine and friends.

1/3 of identical twins have separate placentas including my own so unless they are boy/ girl I'm not sure how you are so sure that they are non identical.

Don't do anything too 'current', it will date them terribly!

How about Guinevere for the girl's list? I've always loved it but I'm not bold enough to use it - feel like it fits in with your tone.

I'd avoid the supernatural and game of thrones ones...they're too current to be irrelevant when they start school and too distinctive to just be names.

Rogue? As in x-men? Why a boy's name then? I mean not that it makes much difference because I'd avoid anything used fairly commonly as a word like that.

I think Wulfric is a lovely name, but I don't think it fits with any of your girls names. Nor the boys, come to that. But Wulfric & Aethelstan set would be fantastic.

Honestly - Castiel, Bronn, Rogue, Azazel - just no. Definitely no to Sansa and Khaleesi, Circe is pushing it.

Hmm...I can't think of much.

Have to say I like most of yours but I'm not a fan of Khaleesi, Daenerys is prettier Grin but baby names are super personal. My DS has an unusual name too Smile
