What would you name the little sister of...

Samuel and Margaret, called Sam and Maggie?

A boy will be William called Will. But I have absolutely no idea for a girl. Help!

I love Rosie but it's out since Rose is Maggie's middle. :)

Louisa was on our list for Maggie. It is nice! I'll revisit that one.

I think the Pippa in the Nancy Drew book was English. :) But you're right, if anyone's read it they may have heard of it. I'd forgotten all about Nancy Drew, I'll have to reread a few!

American names can be very out there, that's true. I think that's what I worry about, that someone would think it was made up like...Gannon or something.

Isn't there a Pippa in the Nancy Drew books? They are American, so there'd be precedent? American names can be quite out there, and I wouldn't think it would be that strange. There is also pippi longstocking, so the double p sound isn't too foreign on that count either.

Elizabeth and Anna are front runners but I'm not sure on any of the nicknames for Elizabeth. I like Anna/Annie but I'm not sure if I just find it "okay". As in it's not offensive and there's nothing wrong with it, but I don't know if I LOVE it.

Frances is another we've considered. I loved it for Maggie but I've gone off it a bit.

Also Pippa. But around here (we're American) it's completely unheard of, except for those obsessed with the royals. I've liked it for years; there's a character named Pippa in one of Stephen King's works and I thought it was great. But I'm not sure if it's too out there.

Kitty is nice but is out because our surname is a noun, so I'm trying to stay away from the double noun! :)

Jane and Kate are close relatives, as are Rebecca and Ella. Grace is another one I like but is my goddaughter.

I love Bea but our last name is short and harsh sounding and starts with a B, so I think it would be too abrupt.

Love Maggie! How about Jane? Maggie and Jane seem to go. Do you want/want to avoid another 'ay' sound at the end? The young Maggie I know has a sister called Kate (Katherine)
