Samuel and Margaret, called Sam and Maggie?

A boy will be William called Will. But I have absolutely no idea for a girl. Help!

How rude to call a name "revolting"! For what it's worth I think Abigail is very nice.

My suggestion was going to be Josephine / Josie but I see someone else already mentioned.

What about Hettie as a NN for Harriet? It's less similar, but it may sound twee to American ears. (Twee is usually deemed fine in the UK, so hard for me to judge.)

What about Antigone, NN Tiggie? Or too similar to Maggie?

Amelia is out and probably Beatrice too. :(

I love Phoebe, I should work on DH more! However I'd ideally like something a bit longer with a nickname she goes by. It's not essential though.

I do like Lucy but don't feel like it's a full name on its own. I don't like Lucille or Lucinda but Lucia is okay. :)
