Hello

Which do you prefer and why? Other suggestions welcome for first names and middle names, also like Astrid.

Thank you

Alexandra

When she is older she can use Alex on CVs and job applications and thus avoiding unconscious sexism when applying for jobs.

We have an Alexandra. She's known to all as Lexi

Alexandra is nice, but I prefer Susannah.

Bowlersarm · 29/11/2014 18:07

Suzie is a great nickname. Much much nicer than Alex.

Susie isn't so bad, it has a kind of 60's feel to it. If you don't like Susie though you could go for Zanna or Sukey.

I do like Alex on a girl though.

Susannah.

Like the sound more.

Susannah sounds joyful whereas I think Alexandra has a haughty air about it.

Also, 4 syllable names are just too much.

Susannah by a country mile.
