What do you think of Primrose

I like the name primrose but would like to see what others think?

I also like the face could have the nick names Prim & Rosie

I just think of Primrose Everdeen. Which makes me think of the third Hunger Games book. So I couldnt do it (even though I am a massive HG fan).

I love it OP. Sadly, like a PP I too have a DH who thinks it awful. I did overrule him on the name last time though....

I love it. I would use Rose over Prim for short.

I think of Brambley Hedge too... And 'prim' has a horrible meaning so probably not that great a nickname. Sorry... However, I'm a great believer in using a name you love so go for it if you do!! (By the way, I love Rose - it's often a middle name and rarely a first name around us...)

Skyra13! If you like it that's what matters! "Older" names do seen to be making a come back at the mo and I think they are often a bit marmitey! People either really love or really loathe them!

I think Primrose is lovely, and I agree the nicknames are super cute.

I think the only thing to maybe consider is with the growing popularity of The Hunger Games you might find there are a lot of little "Primroses" when she gets to nursery/school and you'll have to think about whether you mind if it is going to become a more common name than you perhaps had thought.
