Toby means penis in Scotland??

Sorry, first timer posting on this topic but am(or maybe was!) strongly considering Toby for first son-to-be and have been reading the many Toby threads that seem to be around today! Certainly the name of the moment!

What puts me off more than anything is that it means penis in Scotland? have googled this and there are quite a few people who seem to confirm it!
I can't saddle a child with this name if it really is used in this way.
Do any other Scottish people confirm this?

I have never heard it used for penis, no. But Scotland has many regional variations so could just be that I have never heard it here on the more civillised east coast Wink

I saw that in the toby name thread too, have never heard it used here, maybe a regional thing? Boaby on the other hand.....Wink
