How common is Leo where you live? Or Leo-names, ie: Leon, Leonardo

... Leonard, Leander, Leonardo ...

And if you're happy to disclose, whereabouts do you live? I think it's quite common in London but less so elsewhere. But happy to be proved wrong!

In my dc's school (Bristol) there is a Leo in Y1 and a Leo in Reception, so 2 out of 270 children.

GobblersKnob · 18/11/2014 14:12

East Midlands, don't know any.

ILiveOnABuildsite · 18/11/2014 14:06

I know a three year old Leo but I think his full name it's actually Liam. My grandad's name was Leo, just Leo not short for anything.

Caff2 · 18/11/2014 10:26

I have a two year old Leo; only taught one and he would be 12 ish now. East Mids.

TheBiggestDinosaur · 12/11/2014 19:39

I know one Leo and one Leonard, both from London, and an Italian Leandro, Not babies though, they are aged between 4 and 8.

snufflebum · 12/11/2014 19:33

I'm London Surrey border, it's a pretty standard name round here (perhaps I've met all of them though, as previous posts have a different experience!)

NetballHoop · 12/11/2014 00:00

In Surrey and no Leos here. I know a couple of Leonardos in Spain though.

catsdogsandbabies · 11/11/2014 23:47

Valsoldknickers · 11/11/2014 23:45

HappyTalking · 11/11/2014 23:42

I am in NW England and know 2 Leo's, both around 5 years old.

WhispersOfWickedness · 11/11/2014 22:43

I know one in the South East who is probably about 8 by now, and a two year old Leo who is in the East Midlands.

SurfsUp1 · 11/11/2014 22:39

I'm in Australia and I have a Leo named after my lovely old neighbor. There is one other Leo in ds's year at school but other than that I only know one other who is about 2.
All 3 are Leo as fn. It is a fn not just a nn but you probably know that.
My Leo was born in London and we didn't come across any other baby Leo's st the time (7 years ago)

Dogsmom · 11/11/2014 14:31

I'm in staffs and know one Leander, I'd guess she's about 40 and know no human Leo's but do know a german shepherd and cocker spaniel with the name, no cats though which is odd considering the leo/lion connection.
