Too many girls names!

We're completely settled on a boy's name but don't seem to be able to narrow down our list of girl's names - and have only got 18 weeks to go!

The middle name is likely to be Cecile (family name) and our surname is one-syllable (think curly haired boy-band member with a liking for older ladies!).

Any feedback on our list would be really helpful:
Clara
Eleanor (Nora/ Nell)
Felicity
Gracie
Imogen
Joanie
Penelope (Poppy)
Rosa
Susie

Cecile is gorgeous and is definitely the best of your selection, but I don't think it goes with your surname, sorry. I can see why it would have to go in the middle.

Of your list I like:
Nora or Nell but not Eleanor
Imogen
Joanie
Rosa
Susie

Felicity, Eleanor or Imogen. I have a Felicity and Eleanor and Imogen are top of my list if I ever have another girl Smile.

Cecile is the most distinctive name on the list, and I think it makes all the other names seem rather dilute in comparison.

Clara - like it. Simple and elegant.
Eleanor (Nora/ Nell) - like Eleanor, Nora is ok, really dislike Nell.
Felicity - love it
Gracie - Cute nickname but would go with Grace as given name. Lovely
Imogen - Lovely
Joanie - don't like this at all. Joan doesn't really have the right sound to add and ie to the end imo. And the name Joan is too old ladyish for me.
Penelope (Poppy) - not keen. And surely it would be Penny? Poppy doesn't sound anything like Penelope.
Rosa - quite like it. Prefer Rosie
Susie - I like Susannah. Not sure about Susie. Quite cute I guess.

Felicity is a hands down winner for me. Followed by Imogen and Gracie (if Grace)

If Cecile is going to be the middle name then I think only Imogen and Penelope go.

  • Clara - fine, but dull
  • Eleanor (Nora/ Nell) Like it, Love Nell, but the Ellie popularity would put me off (she'd be Ellie by secondary). I'd use Elinor personally if I went for it
  • Felicity - pretty enough, no real opinion. Harmless name.
  • Gracie - Please use Grace, no adult should be forced to use a pet name with their boss. Meh, very dull again, every second child.
  • Imogen - Love it. A little popular but i think not too bad.
  • Joanie - Awful, and also previous point on pet name and boss
  • Penelope (Poppy) - Love it, use Nell as a NN and its my favourite.
  • Rosa - boring
  • Susie - previous point on pet name and boss! Susan/Suzanne/Susanna are ok.

Imogen and Elinor would go best with the mn as you don't want too many -ee sounds, but Nell would solve that

Rosa or Imogen. However, if I've guessed your surname right, I'm not sure if Rosa works with it.

Gracie seems to have become very popular, at least where I am.
