Caroline and Juliet's brother

We are expecting DC3 quite soon. DC1s and 2 aren't actually called Caroline and Juliet because they are in fact boys. However these are the two names we are considering if DC3 turns out to be a girl.

Our feeling is that DC3 will be a boy and having already named two boys we are going over old ground in our baby name conversations.

I was wondering what boys' names people think 'go' with Caroline and Juliet? I'm not looking for something that 'matches' just interested in the associations you have.

If you have further girls' names suggestions that would be cool too. Smile

Ok, Caroline and Juliet I'd describe as:

-traditional
-though not at all popular now

  • very 'stand alone' names that don't really fit into any category (quirky/soft/strong/boring! - etc.)

So I would think of

Spencer
Jonathan
yes Nicholas!
perhaps Julian

Richard was my first thought. DD1 has a friend called Richard, he's a super wee boy.

David, William, Michael, Alexander, Daniel.

I hadn't thought of them as being French but you're right.

Not Amelie though. Not because it isn't pretty just because it has been so popular since the film came out

Dd would have been Nicholas or Samuel. It is a lovely name.

I teach two boys called Nicholas and have never heard any teasing on that front. I think Nico is nice when younger, instead of Nicky.

Strangely enough my first thought was 'Parker', which really isn't in keeping much. But I'm putting it in the hat anyway.

Mathew seems to be a popular suggestion too. I've always liked Mathew, but have never been that keen on Matt as a nn.

Similarly I like Nicholas and Nick is good for an adult or older child, but I really don't like Nicky. Also when the boys heard the name 'Nicholas' a few weeks ago, they fell about laughing as they heard it as 'Knickerless'. That's the problem with going for classic names that aren't in fashion these days. Grin

Helena is lovely but doesn't work with our surname.
Miranda and Rosalind were in consideration had the boys been girls. I seem to think that DH wasn't to keen.
