Can I use this name???

Am pregnant with DC2, and this time we are having a little girl (YAY!).

Since I was a little girl I've had the name Tiggy picked out as my future daughter's name. I absolutely love it and can not think of a single other name that I like better than this one.

The problem you ask? Well, my DP's surname is Winkle. Yes, that's right, her name would be Tiggy Winkle. I know you are all probably laughing, but I still love it! I am just picturing the nursery all decorated in a Beatrix Potter theme and think it would be really cute.

Do you think it would be cruel? I'm thinking that she will probably one day want to get married so its not like it will be he name forever. Or she could change it when she is 18 if she likes.

I also think the name goes well with her brothers name. He is William but we call him Willy.

If you're not joking, go for Antigone with Tiggy as a nn and give her a decent middle name that she can use in the future if she is such of being called Tiggy Winkle(!)

purple I think Turbo would be a great alternative name for your child too. Max is quite popular at the moment.

If you love it go for it. You could give her a more formal name on her birth certificate which shortens to Tiggy such as Antigone or put it on the birth certificate as her middle name with an alternative first name as it's quite common for people to use their middle name for everyday purposes. She then has an option for when she's older.

Is it really that funny? I'm hoping that not everyone would automatically make the connection. sometimes the obvious ones slip by don't they?

I went to school with a girl called Jenny Taylor, and she managed to get all the way to 6th form before anyone realised her name sounded like genitalia.
