What are unusual names that have stood out for you in your dc's class?

There is an Alaska which makes me smile every time I hear it and a Francesca and Emma which are nice because they are names that I hardly hear on children.

My dd is at nursery with a Brooklyn, Romeo and a Cruz.

Joan and Jean are very cute names for little girls. Wish I'd thought of them.

Not a child, but I have to share with you that I met a woman called Maud-Lynn. It makes me smile every time I remember it.

Surely Cypress and Tytan are entertainment wrestlers?

Dovahkiin · 08/10/2014 18:12

Phoenix and Tiger - both tiny blonde boys. I truly live in the town that MN forgot...

Jean. Parents call her Jeannie. She's 10 and I've lived it since I first heard it.

Serenity and Alabama both make me smile...

There's a boy at my sons nursery called Myles Davies. I know the jazz legend spelt his name with an i but every time I see his coat peg label I imagine a toddler playing the saxophone

wigglesrock · 08/10/2014 16:46

HibiscusIsland - one of my dds told me last week she's going to have 4 children called Lucy, Peter, Edmund and Susan or if not kids they're definitely her names for her goldfish Smile.

I know a little Enzo, I always think of it as a lovely cheerful name, I also know an Autumn which is lovely when you say it out loud.

Crystal
Kennedy

Fcukfifa · 08/10/2014 16:31

Oh so I was kind of saying it right, lovely name - slightly reminds me of subbuteo (no idea how you spell it, that game with the football men on a wobbly thing from the 70's)
Still love it though!

whippetwoman · 08/10/2014 16:30

Maud

CPtart · 08/10/2014 16:29

Vincent.

ShatnersBassoon · 08/10/2014 16:11

Joan. I imagined she'd be plump and wearing Bon Marche, but she's normal Grin

HibiscusIsland · 08/10/2014 16:10

I like Susan. I like all of the names of the children in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Susan, Lucy, Peter and Edmund.

KoalaDownUnder · 08/10/2014 16:09

Oooh, I love the name Bram. And Matteo!

My niece has a little boy in her class called Banjo.

LadyLuck81 · 08/10/2014 16:06

There's a gorgeous wee boy called Bram at our nursery

moxon · 08/10/2014 16:05

fcuk Ma-tay-o. Flemish-y version of Matthew, although I think it is Iberian-ish too.

NewEraNewMindset · 08/10/2014 16:05

Moxon Grin
